SAMUEL CATTAPAN TO TAKE THE REIGNS FROM LONG SERVING PREMIERSHIP CAPTAIN LUKE DAVIS

After 8 seasons at the helm Luke Davis has decided to step down as Captain and has rightly acknowledged his good mate Sam ‘Mappa’ Cattapan as the captain for the 2023 season.

Sam needs no introduction, as he has been an integral part of the Abers community starting in our U/10 program where he has worked his way through to be one of the dominant midfielders in the premier competition. What people may not see more broadly is Sam’s ability to lead a group of young men. He sets high standards on and off the field and it was an easy transition for Sam to step into the role.

We would like to acknowledge LD for his leadership and guidance of our group over the last 8 seasons. Luke is a three time premiership captain and will continue to support Sam as an important member of our team.

Thank you LD and congratulations and good luck Mappa.

Looking forward to the year ahead!
